Round 3 of the RDMC Season championship was a bit of a disappointment for the team with Mark finishing in 8th place and myself in 14th. The Brands Hatch Indy circuit always produces very tight racing and any mistakes can be costly, which certainly hurt my chances of finishing any higher than I did. A half spin on lap 3 dropped me to 25th and I spent the rest of the race trying to catch and make my way through the field. I was pleased with my progress in the end, but it would have been nice to have not been in that position in the first place. Mark fared better in the race with a solid 8th place, but overall, the lack of practice time for both of us leading up to the event didn’t exactly help our cause. A few more points in the bag however, so it’s not all been bad. We now roll on to Silverstone for the next round and hopefully we can be a little more competitive.
