Last week we used the V8 Stock Car club race at Goiania as some much needed race practice for the main event the next evening. The same applied this week, although it was just myself this time to battle it out on this incredibly fast and exciting Cordoba track.
From the outset is was apparent that I was lacking a bit of pace compared with some of the drivers I normally battle with in the championship, but there seemed to be very little I could do to counteract this and I settled for 5th place in qualifying. Both races were very intense and one particular battle which stood out was with Mark Breslin, who over the last few weeks, has gained a lot of respect from me as a very clean and courteous driver. There were a couple of laps we were side by side through 100mph corners and we never even came close to touching. Amazing stuff! I finished with two 4th places in the end and a good nights racing in the end.
