At the end of an incredibly busy week of sim racing for The Mighty Forth team, it was at Cordoba in the Race Department VSCC Season 3 championship that we finally secured a happy conclusion to our racing exploits. Neither of us was particularly quick in the practice session for this race, but as always, we go with what we have and hope our consistency brings us home a result.
We both qualified further down the field than we had at the last race in Goiania, but both of us made up places quite quickly at the start. We ran together for most of the race, swapping places up until I pitted midway through the race. Paul opted to stay on his tyres at his pit stop, which gave him the initial advantage over me, but I gradually clawed my way back and overtook him in the final third of the race. By this point we were up to 13th and 14th and it was a last lap pit stop from Ryan Seltzer that moved us both up a place in the end to 12th and 13th.
I’m very happy with that result for the team as it gives us a decent haul of points in the constructors championship, and certainly from my own perspective, I was delighted with the way I drove.
