A fantastic showing from The Mighty Forth drivers on Thursday evening was rewarded with, not only our best team performance so far, but also our first podium finish. Daniel excelled yet again and showed terrific pace throughout to take an amazing 3rd place on the last bend from Ruud Heesterbeek in the Walk Racing car. It hadn’t all been plain sailing though as he was left to recover from an earlier incident and had to pit for repairs, but his recovery was immense, plus a slice of good fortune with a caution period near the end! A big thank you to Philip Morby who stepped into Rory’s shoes for this event and he was well rewarded with a very solid 9th place finish in the end. Philip also suffered some minor incidents during the race, but he was also fortunate with the final caution which helped him climb a place and erase any worries he had about running low on fuel.
I’m very happy for the drivers, who were clearly delighted with their performances, and it pushes The Mighty Forth into a tight constructors battle for 4th, 5th and 6th places with two races remaining. Well done guys!
