It was another disappointing event for Paul in rounds 8 and 9 of the Race Department Touring Car championship at Guapore on Saturday, but strong results from Mark and myself in race 2 ended the evening on a more positive note. Paul (26th, 19th) had been very quick in practice and qualified just inside in top ten, but his luck over the last couple of events had been dreadful and other peoples incidents in both races knocked him well down the order and has ultimately hurt his championship standing as well, with him now sitting 13th overall. Mark (21st, 5th) had a mixed event, but his highlight was a fantastic 5th place in race 2 and a strong drive took him to within 3 seconds of the winning driver in the end. He’s been rewarded in the championship as well, now sitting in 10th place overall. I had a strange evening (18th, 11th), finishing in a decent 18th in race 1, and after being knocked off the track and down to 27th in race 2, I somehow made my way back to 11th place by the end giving me something to cheer about. Jonathan on server 2 (15th, 13th) kept TMF’s points ticking over and they’re now in 11th place in the team standings. The Mighty Forth are back up to 3rd place after penalty points were distributed to some of our competitors from the previous race.
