A new year and a new championship began for us on Saturday evening in Adelaide with the start of the Race Department Touring Car Championship Season 10 using the Stock Car Extreme Super V8 cars. We again entered two teams, as in Season 9, with new recruit Ryan Seltzer joining us and regulars Mark Breslin, Paul Watkins and myself, filling the four available slots.
Our practice sessions had been very positive in the lead up to the championship, but with an incredibly fast and competitive field of drivers, it was hard work trying to produce the results we were hoping for. Ryan had a baptism of fire and very little luck in the race eventually finishing in 24th place, Paul took a commendable 17th, Mark had a positive 15th place and strangely I ended up in 13th with the best result for the team.
In the end the results were a little disappointing, but there were plenty of positives to take forward to the next race in Barbagallo.
