The season ended on a spectacular high for The Mighty Forth team at Bathurst, as Ryan secured an amazing Drivers Championship victory despite finishing the race second best to Oscar Hardwick for the third time this season. Ryan took his first pole position at the beginning of the evening with a stunning lap and did more than enough during the race to make sure there were no slip-ups on his way to becoming champion. Mark missed out on a third podium in a row, finishing 4th in the end, but it was another very impressive drive from the Englishman and it was enough to seal 3rd place in the Drivers Championship. Paul finished in 7th place with yet another solid drive and I took 10th place, giving the Mighty Forth another fantastic team result overall. It also meant that the Teams Championship was never in doubt and The Mighty Forth II team, consisting of Ryan and myself, took the championship crown by 21 points from The Mighty Forth I team, with Mark and Paul, and Smile Power Racing a distant 39 points further behind in 3rd place.
It has been a stunning team effort throughout this season and we have more than exceeded our expectations to put it lightly! I would like to thank Ryan, Mark and Paul for being the best team line up I could possibly ever have hoped for, the help and support you have all given this season, the amazing results you’ve all produced and for bringing home the teams first ever Drivers Champion and Teams Championship. I look forward to driving with you all again in whatever comes next for the team!
