GPVWC Formula Challenge 2017 – Round 7 Canada

A very wet Montreal greeted us for Round 7 of the Formula Challenge championship, and Mark once again showed great improvement in his ability to drive these cars, taking two fantastic 5th places in tricky conditions.  I took 11th and 10th positions after being horribly off the pace here, so I will definitely take it as a positive result in the end.  The level of spray and lack of grip meant this was an event of survival rather than heroics and I think we ticked all the boxes in that respect.  Both of us survived and both of us finished in the points in both races giving us a satisfying result for the team.  I’m delighted that Mark is beginning to show some excellent pace in Formula Challenge and I believe it’s only a matter of time before he has a real chance of a win this season.  Our consistency is good, and while we’re not scoring heavily enough to challenge for anything, I’m extremely happy with all the effort so far.
