A much improved performance from the team for Round 2 of the GPVWC Formula Challenge in Sochi, Russia last week, saw Mark score his first points of the season and I made the top ten in race 2 giving us a lot of encouragement for the rest of the season. It could have finished better still, but unfortunately Mark spun in race 1 after running inside the top ten and ended up 16th. Race 2 went much better for him, and he was again running inside the top ten only to be overtaken by some of the faster cars from the reverse grid leaving him 12th, and his first championship points. I had a memorable and highly satisfying result, finishing in a solid 12th in race 1, before the reverse grid put me in 4th for the start of race 2. I raced as hard as I could for a good result and was absolutely delighted with a 6th place finish in the end. Overall, I’m extremely pleased with the result and it was a decent points haul for us.
